Work is just being extraordinarily worky these days, which in turn is depriving me of skiving off time, which in turn is making me cranky and bitter and no doubt very unpleasant to be around. It's a chain reaction, dude; no good can come of it.

BUT. Some anonymous someone must have sensed how urgently in need I was of cheering up. Whoever you are, anonymous someone, thank you so much for the virtual rose that's now adorning my user info page. *pets rose*

  • Countdown to Supernatural, and omg it's hard not to click my way past all the thoughtful yet intriguing cut tags to the spoilers. Be still, oh clicky finger.

  • [ profile] vaudevilles is single-handedly re-igniting my love of popslash and has DONATED not one but TWO fabuliciously detailed plot bunnies and I kind of love her a LOT right now.

  • Sureshot? Sureshot??? Um. Okay. That would be kind of sad and lame if it weren't hysterically funny. I listened briefly, long enough to hear Chris singing in the background and then my family made me turn it off because they have way less tolerance than I do. WHATEVER. I'm still looking forward to Man Band. You can't stop me.

  • My sister just bought me a copy of The Black Parade. I've only had a chance to listen to it once, and that was at work while fending off a couple of dozen asshattery phone calls, but, man. Much love. Now if only I'd remembered to bring the CD home with me.
And now it's off to catch up on email, catch up on lj, and filll up the wine glass in time for Supernatural.

Mmmmmmm, Black Parade.

Oh god, I'm sorry, I'm going to watch every episode of that show, but that song is horrible! At least Chris sounds good, and his verse is easily the best part of the song. But oh, oh, oh, Chris.

That song needs to be lined up against a wall and shot repeatedly. And hung. And maybe burned at the stake. But, hey! Chris! Week after week! There's got to be some good there, right?

Sureshot down the toilet with that song I'm afraid. But I have bracelets of bad-music-repelling-power (much like WonderWoman but pink) and can care only about the photo of Chris with a light saber!!!!

And go me!!! Go my magic powers of re-ignition (they're like WonderWoman's invisible plane - I'm having a theme and YOU CAN'T STOP ME!)

They can sound like cats swallowing bricks, just as long as we have a regular helping of Chris, thank you very much. Apparently we get our jewelry from the same source ...

And, yes! Go you with your bad-music-repelling, invisible plane WonderWoman schtick. All I can think of to say in return is STARS!! STRIPES!!! 70s headgear!!!

And that would be the extent of my cleverness for the evening. Sad, really, isn't it?

BWAHAHAHAHA! And, strangely and unexpectedly, I'm completely fine with the song as soon as Chris starts singing.

Maybe you should make Chris's party (at which the toilet blowjobbery occurs) a costume party and Lance can come as Marvel's favourite Amazonian Princess? Alternatively you might want to ignore me as it could, conceivably, be Friday night and I might, possibly, be high on Pfeffernuss and Scrabble.

I'm afraid Chris's voice isn't quite enough to save the song for me, although it would be if he were singing lead. WHY THE HELL ISN'T HE SINGING LEAD????

Lance can come as Marvel's favourite Amazonian Princess
*snorflesplrbx* Now there's an image: Lance in little blue star-studded shorts and knee-high red boots. Would that be hot or funny or just plain scary? Or maybe all three?

Scrabble! *is jealous*

I haven't been able to bring myself to listen to Sureshot's (dear god, someone needs to be shot for sure) song yet. I'm really kind of afraid of it, and I want to continue on in ignorant bliss of just how bad this is gonna be.

*snickers at your icon* Dude, sadly your caution about how horrible the song might be is entirely justified by its actual awfulness. My suggestion? Wait for the second song. Or, better still, wait for the first episode, because it's much easier to overlook horrendously awful crap if the visuals are pleasing, right? And if Chris is being his witty, wacky, wonderful self, it can't all be bad.

I want to continue on in ignorant bliss of just how bad this is gonna be.
I suspect it's going to be very, very bad indeed. But, hey! Chris!!! I've decided I'm going to expect the absolute, utter worst and then be grateful for the inevitable scraps of not-so-very dreadfulness that are bound to be there.

I have high hopes for the show. Because, well, Chris is in it.

Re: my icon. Last April, there was a local music festival in Orlando, and Chris and his little band played. They were in a parking lot, and Mary and I were standing there, watching them. They played three songs, and Chris was wearing that Viking hat for the first one. I took that picture and [ profile] rikes made an icon for me. His mom was there, and it was kind of weird. But he sounded fabulous, and he was funny as hell.
