Nov. 15th, 2004 09:18 amStill no idea for my SeSa story, butI woke up three times last night, heart thumping wildly, because I dreamed that I'd come up with the perfect plot. Only I hadn't. My subconscious hates me.
Help.
On the less sparkly front, I was reading an article in the New York Times on the North American obsession with eradicating germs and came across this quotation from Antoni van Leeuwenhoek, who first spotted bacteria through a microscope:
"For me, this was among all the marvels that I discovered in nature the most marvelous of all, and I must say, that for my part, no more pleasant sight has met my eye than this of so many thousand living creatures in one small drop of water."
This is the kind of thing that calms me right down, and so I share it with you on the off chance that the idea of great whacks of microscopic germs squirming around in your glass of water makes you as happy as it makes me.
