The good, the bad and the lovely surprise
Jun. 18th, 2003 10:18 pmSo, L. from the book club emailed me to say that the meeting for tonight was cancelled, which was not so good because it means we won't get together again until July by which time I'll have completely forgotten what I wanted to say about the book, but good because it gave me a chance to focus on my work projects. I mean, ick, but, as my mother used to say, they're not going to do themselves. Well. That sounds a whole lot kinkier than it did when it was still in my head.
And then B. from work called to tell me that, due to the flood (caused by some dickwad on the floor above stuffing a towel down the toilet in the men's room, apparently not realizing that the office building is not, in fact, his junior high or even his reform school) the resource centre will be closed tomorrow. Which is good, because who felt like going to work anyway, really, but bad because she also said that it would be a good time to move my work station upstairs, which, fuck, I only have two weeks left on the contract and two bazillion things to do in those two weeks, are we really going to throw a move in, too?
On the plus side, though, Helen's new story. And that's a pretty huge plus.
