Mmmm, such a beautiful, sunny morning. I'm just heading out to take my daughter to the dentist, after which there will be a certain amount of sock buying, and possibly some CD and book buying as well.

There will also be some fierce negotiation about clothes shopping, as my daughter can't pass a store window in my company without trying to browbeat a purchase out of my wallet. And, dude, that girl is relentless.

I'm in a weakened state, too. I'm so happy that my week of staff meetings is finally over, I'm likely to agree to anything.

Heeeeee! That was me! My favourite cajoling technique was, "But mommy! We don't have that at home!"

Be strong. Usually, all the demands are a test. :D

Ha! And did your cajoling technique work? From the sounds of it, you were quite a bit younger than my daughter, who is 17 and should have figured out years ago that I don't cave, I just get cranky. Unfortunately, my sister caves, and that's the conditioning that's taken.

But I hung tough. She got socks, socks and only socks!

Well, not when I was 17, but it did. My aunt caves easily, too, actually. I dunno, I think when I got older, it was the price that my mom would go for. As in, "Mom! These are all the rage right now and they're *on sale*!!!" ROFL

Man. I was a horrid kid. :)
