I just realized that I never posted to say that Chasing the Dragon was my contribution to [livejournal.com profile] pensnest's Dragon Challenge.

I'm not surprised that nobody guessed it was mine; it's completely different than anything else I've written, and I was a bit startled myself as I typed it. I mean, it's short, it's angst-o-rific and there's almost no dialogue. Dude, who would have suspected?

Fine story, though!

(Heh! I'm just reading your 'Under my skin'!)

Thank you! I'm not altogether unhappy with it, even though it did catch me by surprise.

I loved writing 'Under my skin'. Why do I ever write anything other than Trickyfish, I wonder; it's always been my OTP.

Trickyfish 4 eva! And yet sometimes, a story has to be told with someone else. Under(his)pants, for instance!

Now I've read all your stuff I wouldn't have had any idea. But I love it all. All I tell you!

LJ is being a bit of an ass tonight; I keep trying to respond to comments, and it keeps telling me I can't respond to a post that doesn't exist. Very twilight zone-ish, I must say. Dude, I think your comment is haunted. Either that or I'm even more incompetent than hitherto suspected.

But! What I was trying to say is - Thanks! And whee!

That's incredibly existential. I am obviously from the other side (of the world anyway). And this part of this side likes your fic *g*

I'm glad we're both managing to post (finally) to express our mutual delight even if it is kinda ghostly.

Bwahaha! I think I'm going to move to your side (of the world) so I can commune with ghosts and be all existential and stuff.

Oh come visit! NZ culture (especially the Maori element) is pretty animist based so you get to commune with all sorts of things. Our hills are alive *g*

And I can certainly bullsh*t an existentialistic panic if that floats your boat.

I certainly had no idea it was by you! It's such a good story but I don't think I will re-read in a long time, it just too intense and hurt too much. They're so fucked-up in it and just want them to be happy, I'm so shallow.

I know, right? Totally not my style. I think my brain was momentarily possessed by the ghost of popslash grim. Or something. And I don't blame you AT ALL for not wanting to read the sucker again. When I came across it the other day as I was tidying up my files, I could only read a couple of paragraphs and then I was all "well, enough of that. Next!" I too am a happy ending junkie (at least in popslash).
